If you're using Chrome on Windows, please try these steps to make sure your microphone is working correctly on ElevenLabs.
1. In Windows Privacy and Security menu, select Microphone Privacy Settings, then enable Microphone access.
2. In Chrome, reset the permissions and set them again to make sure that the website has permission to use the microphone. Click the arrow next to Microphone, then click the toggle to enable it, and select 'Allow on every visit'. Make sure it says 'Allowed'.
3. In Chrome, go to chrome://settings/content/microphone or select 'Settings' in your menu, then select 'Privacy and security', then under 'Permissions', select 'Microphone'. Make sure that the correct microphone is selected in the menu.
4. You can test that your microphone is working by using Voice Changer.
Click 'Record Audio', then click the microphone icon to begin recording. Record a quick test, then press the stop icon to stop recording. You can then play back your recording to check that the microphone is working correctly. You will not be charged unless you click 'Generate speech'.
