Voice Design lets you create a unique voice from a text prompt.
It’s designed to help when you can’t find the exact voice you need in our Voice Library. Instead of choosing from existing options, you can now generate a custom voice by describing it in your own words.
To get started, just type a prompt describing the voice you want. You can include details like accent, gender, pacing, tone, and speaking style. The more specific your prompt, the more closely the voice will match your intent. But if you're unsure, a simple prompt like "a calm male narrator" also works.
Voices created with Voice Design v3 are fully compatible with our latest model, v3 (Alpha), and support audio tags for our most expressive speech. They’re also backward compatible, meaning you can use them across all our other models.

Note: Voice Design is still experimental. Professional Voice Clones offer the highest quality and consistency. If you find a PVC that fits your needs, we recommend using it.
