ElevenReader lets you listen by converting text into hours of audio. Hours are only used when you convert imported text into audio for the first time.
Hours are estimated for easy reference and are based on the amount of text converted and the speed at which you listen. The faster you listen, the quicker hours will be used when generating audio.
Each plan’s hours are based on listening at normal (1.0x) playback speed.
You are not charged for listening to text you’ve already converted into audio and played before.
You are not charged hours for listening to any of the thousands of free books or feeds in the Explore library.
Additionally, Ultra subscribers gain access to 20 hours every month of premium audiobooks and ebooks from the Explore catalog.
Are ElevenLabs plans the same as ElevenReader plans?
No. ElevenReader offers its own subscription plans with an hourly system designed for listening to content on the go. ElevenLabs plans are separate from ElevenReader plans.
Are hours included in the free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 10 free hours per month, which reset monthly.
Can I buy hours without a subscription?
Yes. You can purchase a 10-hour or 20-hour pack without an active subscription. This allows you to convert your content into audio without committing to a recurring plan.
Keep in mind that some advanced features may still require a subscription, even if you have purchased hours.
If I buy a pack while on the free plan, will those hours be added to my 10 free hours?
Yes. Hour packs are additive.
For example, if you purchase a 10-hour pack, those hours will be added to the 10 hours included in the free plan, giving you a total of 20 hours. If you purchase a 20-hour pack, you will have a total of 30 hours.
What’s the difference between buying hours and subscribing?
A subscription gives you ongoing access to premium features for a set period, either monthly or yearly. Purchasing a 10-hour or 20-hour pack is a separate form of usage-based access that lets you listen without committing to a recurring plan.
Depending on your subscription, you may receive a set number of hours each month. You can also purchase additional hours separately in 10-hour or 20-hour packs.
Do hours expire?
Yes. Free plans include 10 hours that expire and reset each month. Purchased hours expire 12 months after being issued, whether they come from a subscription or a one-time pack.
ElevenReader uses your subscription hours first, followed by any additional hours you’ve purchased, helping you get the most listening time possible.
Will I get hours for referring a friend?
Yes. If you refer a friend and they join through your link, both of you will earn hours after your friend successfully signs up. The number of hours you’ll receive is listed in the app.
