How do offline downloads work?

Offline Downloads let you convert text into audio ahead of time, so you can listen without an internet connection. You can use them to save articles, PDFs, ebooks, and other content for offline listening.

With the updated experience, you can choose to download specific sections of your content (such as individual chapters) or the entire text for offline use.

How many Offline Download hours do I get?

Paid subscribers receive up to 20 hours of Offline Downloads per day. If you need more, you can purchase additional one-time Offline Download hours to convert more text into audio.

How long does it take to create an Offline Download?

Creating an Offline Download typically takes 2–5 minutes, though larger files may take longer to process.

How do I use my Offline Downloads?

Once ready, your downloads are stored directly in the app and can be played anytime — even without Wi-Fi or mobile data. You can remove downloads at any time to free up device storage and are removed when you sign out.

For larger files, you may be asked to select specific chapters or sections to download rather than downloading the entire file at once.

Do Offline Downloads expire?

Yes. Offline Downloads remain available for 60 days after they are created. You’ll receive a notification 7 days before expiration, giving you time to renew the download if needed.
