At ElevenReader, our priority is to keep the platform fair, safe, and accurate for all authors. Over the past days, we’ve introduced stronger engagement and fraud-detection systems to ensure that genuine listens are rewarded and that suspicious activity doesn’t impact the ecosystem.
Previously, dashboards displayed all listening activity. We’re now rolling out reporting updates to better reflect verified, genuine engagement.
Reporting for new data after January 1 should already be fully aligned, while older data may still show temporary discrepancies as historical data continues to sync.
Your valid listens and earnings continue to be tracked normally.
To help clarify the most common questions, here’s a quick FAQ:
1. What is considered a “genuine listen”?
A genuine listen is any real, organic listening activity from an actual user engaging naturally with your content on ElevenReader. These listens always count toward your engagement and earnings.
Listening activity that shows clear signs of being automated, manipulated, or fraudulent does not count.
2. Why aren’t my sales or earnings updating?
We recently strengthened our engagement and fraud-detection systems. While reporting updates are still syncing (especially for older data), some dashboards may show temporary delays or adjustments. Your valid listens and earnings are still being tracked in the background.
3. Why do my listening hours increase but my royalty stays the same?
Dashboards previously showed all listening activity. Payouts now accrue only from verified, genuine engagement.
As a result, listening metrics may currently appear higher than payout metrics, particularly for historical data. Once reporting updates are fully synced, dashboards will reflect the correct totals.
4. Will the listens removed from my engagement reduce my earnings?
No. Only listens clearly flagged as fraudulent or invalid were removed. All genuine listens from your readership continue to count normally toward both engagement and earnings.
5. Do I need to take any action?
No action is required on your side. If your audience listens to your stories organically, all valid listens will continue to count.
6. Will this affect my eligibility for the next payout?
No. As long as your valid earnings meet the minimum threshold, payouts will run normally. Temporary dashboard discrepancies do not block payouts.
7. Is ElevenReader trying to reduce authors’ earnings?
No. These updates are designed to ensure that genuine listens are rewarded fairly and that fraudulent activity doesn’t impact the ecosystem. Ensuring accuracy protects authors in the long term.
8. How can I ensure my listens count as valid?
Simply keep driving genuine listens from your readership. Organic listening behavior will always count toward your engagement and earnings.
