Credits were previously referred to as "characters." We updated this terminology to streamline pricing and make it easier to understand, though the value remains unchanged.
Credits can be used to generate and transform audio across our platform. The number of credits used depends on your plan, the product you’re using, and the model involved.
Turbo Models (Turbo V2 and Turbo V2.5)
- For self-serve plans, one text character equals 0.5 credits.
- For enterprise plans, one text character equals between 0.5 and 1 credit (to account for existing enterprise discounts).
Non-turbo Models (English V1, Multilingual V1, and Multilingual V2)
- One text character equals 1 credit for all customers.
Please note that some shared voices in our Voice Library have custom rates that apply a multiplier to your credit consumption.
Audio credits are calculated per minute, considering factors like custom voices, the Voice Isolator tool, SFX, and the Dubbing Studio.
Credit Allocation and Rollover
For self-serve monthly and annual plans, and Enterprise monthly plans: you will receive a set amount of credits each month, which reset monthly. Up to two months’ worth of unused credits can roll over to the next month.
For enterprise annual plans, you will receive a yearly credit allocation upfront. These credits reset each year, with up to two months' worth of unused credits rolling over to the next year.
If you downgrade or cancel your subscription, this does not take effect until the end of your current billing cycle, and unused credits are not rolled over.
